Introduction: Pharmacy Council of India (PCI) Registration in Telangana

The Telangana state pharmacy council is a statutory body established by the Government of Telangana State under the provisions of the Pharmacy Act of 1948, with six members elected by Registered Pharmacists, five members nominated by the Government of Telangana State, one member elected by the T S Medical Council, and three Ex-Officio Members.

Dr. Preeti Meena, IAS, has been appointed as president of the Telangana State Pharmacy Council by the Telangana state Government via G.O.Rt.No.64 of the Health, Medical and Family Welfare (C2) Department, dated 06.07.2018, and Dr. B Venkateswarlu, joint Director, Drug Control Administration has been appointed as Registrar of the Telangana State Pharmacy Council began operating and providing services to pharmacists on July 16, 2018. 

The Telangana State Pharmacy Council's primary goal is to govern the profession and practice of pharmacy in Telangana. The TSPC's primary responsibility is to register eligible pharmacists who meet the requirements of section 32(2) of the Pharmacy Act, as well as to enforce the terms of the Pharmacy Act 1948 and the Telangana State Pharmacy Council Rules, 1955.

Telangana State Pharmacy Tribunal was established by the Telangana State Government on April 6, 2015, u/s 30 (1) of the Pharmacy Act 1948, to prepare the first register of pharmacists who were previously registered with the erstwhile Andhra Pradesh Pharmacy Council and chose to render their services in Telangana. The first Register of Pharmacists compiled in this manner is currently available on this site for raising any grievances or objections to the Act's established appellate authority.

General Instruction for “B, D Pharmacy and Pharm D Registration”

  • Must be a Telangana resident or practicing physician.
  • If employed, the designation, name of the institutions, and place of employment must be disclosed.
  • A valid email address and phone number are required.
  • Make an online reservation for a Slot date. On the Slot Date, personally appear to the Council office with Originals for Endorsement, Hard Copies of submitted Documents, and other associated Certificates for verification.
  • Fill in your date of birth exactly as it appears on your S.S.C. / S.S.L.C. / Matriculation Certificate.
  • Fill in the candidate's name precisely as it appears on the degree certificate.
  • 1 Large size 14"x 10" Cover Affixed with Rs.40/- Postal Stamps. (As in Residential Proof, self-addressed)
  • After you've agreed to the terms, click the Submit button to finish the procedure on your end.
  • Fill out the Form G & NRD form for your qualification, i.e. B. Pharma and submit it along with your application to the office.

Application Checklist Documents for New Registration of B Pharmacy

  • Certificate of Intermediate
  • Final certificate of school
  • Certificate of D Pharmacy (if studied) Marks list of 1st and 2nd year issued by the board.
  • Certificate of B Pharmacy consolidated Marks list and study course of four years or bonafide certificate and transfer certificate (if he/she did not study postgraduate course as a regular student).
  • Residential proof, for instance, Aadhaar card /Bank Account /Election ID /Indian passport or Driving License) 
  • If working as an employee in any of these fields (Drug License /College /Industry ID etc.)
  • Only for passed students from 2013 onwards, online confirmation for JNTU Hyderabad - Reports should be in the name of "The Registrar, Telangana State Pharmacy Council, Vengalrao Nagar, and Hyderabad" and present the color copy at the time of submission in the office.
  • For B. Pharm Certificate, Demand Draft or Challan Form from respective University (if applicable) taken within a week of slot date.
  • 1 big size cover of postal stamps 14''x 10'' affixed with Rs. 40/-. (self-addressed as it is in the residential proof)
  • Recently captured 2 passport size color photos with white background (without mask/scarf, the photo clearly visible in the certificate)
  • Signature on plain paper.
  • Submit the online application with photocopies of all required documents.

Note: All the required documents should be scanned in color with clearly visible and the pharmacist’s photo should be taken very clear. 

Application Checklist Documents for New Registration of D Pharmacy

  • Final School Certificate (SSC)
  • Certificate of Intermediate.
  • Certificate of D Pharmacy issued by Board.
  • Study certificate/ Transfer Certificate/ Bonafide Certificate from college (if not studied graduation and post-graduation courses, regular student)
  • Fees of Rs. 510/-
  • Original Practical Training Certificate
  • Resident proof for example, (Voter ID/ Aadhaar Card/ Bank Account/ Indian Passport/ Driving License)
  • 1 large size cover r 14''x 10'' affixed with Rs.40/- Postal Stamps. (Self-addressed as it is in residential proof).
  • Recently captured 2 passport size color photographs with white background. (without mask and scarf, photo will clearly be visible on the certificate)
  • Signature must be on plain paper.
  • Submit the online application with photocopies of all required documents.

Application Checklist Documents for New Registration of Pharm D

  • Final school certificate
  • Certificate of Intermediate
  • Certificate of D Pharmacy (if studied) 1st and 2nd year Marks list issued by Board.
  • Certificate of B Pharmacy consolidated Marks list and study course of four years or bonafide certificate and transfer certificate (if he/she did not study postgraduate course as a regular student).
  • Pharm D certificate, internship certificate, Marks lists, ID card, and course study Bonafide certificate and transfer certificate
  • Resident proof (Aadhaar Card/ Voter ID/ Bank Account/ Passport/ Driving License)
  • If working in any of the fields (College/ Drug License/ Industry ID etc.)
  • Report shall be in the name of "The Registrar, Telangana State Pharmacy Council, Vengalrao Nagar, Hyderabad and submitted in color at the time of submission at the office, only for passed students from 2013 onwards.
  • Pharm. D Certificate’s Demand Draft or Challan Form from respective University (if applicable) taken within a week of slot date
  • 1 large size cover r 14''x 10'' affixed with Rs.40/- Postal Stamps. (Self-addressed as it is in residential proof).
  • Recently shot clear 2 passport size color photo with white background (photo will appear in Certificate without mask/scarf)
  • Signature on plain paper
  • Submit the online application and photocopies of the required documents.

Procedure to Apply Online for PCI Registration

Step 1 (Entry)

  • Fill in the blanks with essential information such as your name, UID,        father's name, category, gender, phone number, and email address.
  • You will get the notification regarding Pharmacist Reference ID to your registered mobile number, along with the Link for activation and Transaction ID for online payment to your Email id from tspcregistrar2015@gmail.com 

Step 2 (Application)

  • Fill out the Application form Online.
  • Scan your all required Documents in jpg or jpeg format with size (less than 250 KB)
  • Upload all relevant documents mentioned above
  • Book the slot date for Registration
  • Take a printout of the application and bring it to the Council office on the designated slot day for registration.

Step 4 (TS Pharmacy Council Office)

  • On the Slot Date, personally appear in the Council with a printout of your application and original documentation.
  • Carry all relevant certificates in case of questions about your schooling or confirmation of your living address, for example.
  • After you've agreed to the terms, click the PROCEED button to finish the procedure on your end.

PCI Registration Status Check - Pharmacy Council of India

You can check your pharmacy council of India registration status by using the online pharmacy council of India portal. The Pharmacy Council of India (PCI) has introduced the Pharmacist Registration and Tracking System, a national digital platform for pharmacist registration and tracking (PRTS). 

All registered pharmacists in the nation are required to complete the following procedures in order to complete their pharmacist registration details:

  • Step-1: Type http://www.pci.nic.in/UM.html
  • Step-2: Click on User Management
  • Step-3: Register yourself and click ‘Submit’.
  • Step-4: After registration, fill in the details in the proforma titled “Pharmacist Profile” and click ‘Submit’.

To check the status of PCI Registration

  • Type https://dgpm.nic.in/
  • Click on the login button
  • Enter your login id and password
  • After login, you can see the status and other necessary details.
