Introduction

Subsequently, the import of melon seeds under ITC (HS) code 12077090 is liberated from May 1, 2024, to June 30, 2024, according to the genuine client base By the FSSAI Order of 15 March 2024, this Regulation is specifically designed for melon seed processors having a valid FSSAI production license. Goods imported/shipped/arrived but not cleared before 1st May 2024 may also apply and will be cleared between May 1, 2024, and June 30, 2024.

The current restricted import policy in effect before the issuance of this notification
Effect of this notification: Import of melon seeds under ITC(HS) code 12077090 is 'free' on the actual user base from 01.05.2024 to 30.06.2024 for melon seed processors having valid FSSAI production license as per FSSAI order dated. March 15, 2024. It is also possible to import between 01.05.2024 and 30.06.2024 goods that have arrived but have not been cleared by customs before 01.05.2024.
