For this reason, the producers of these audio-video devices need to obtain EPR Authorization for the Equipment relating to Recording and Reproducing Sound and Images from the Central Pollution Control Board before starting the manufacturing process. EPR policy further prescribes that producers process the e-waste every year equivalent to the products placed by such producers in the last year.
