What is Solid Waste?
Solid waste means any waste material, refuse coming from household, treatment plant, processing plant, pollution control facility and other facilities which also contribute in solid waste. Outcome from the industrial, commercial, mining and agricultural activities, and from community activities, but excludes solid or dissolved particles in domestic sewage, or solid or dissolved materials in irrigation activities or industrial discharges that are point sources.

It also provides solutions for recycling items that do not belong to solid waste. As long as people will not aware about the need of solid waste management till then, garbage or solid waste has been an issue.

Improper collection, treatment & disposal of municipal solid waste can create unhygienic conditions, and these conditions, in turn, can lead to pollution of the environment and to outbreaks of the mosquito-borne diseases that is, diseases spread by rodents and insects.
