Fire NOC From State Government


The NOC for Fire Department is issued by the respective states fire service that verifies and checks the resistance of the building or that the building can observe any fire-related accidents. As soon as all the guidelines are covered, the fire department will issue the NOC for the residential/commercial building of the applicant. The guidelines may vary from state to state.



The High- rise or multi-story buildings having more than 15 meters in height are required to obtain Fire NOC from the state Fire Services.



NOC is granted by the Fire Service Department of the respective State.



The NOC once issued is valid for a period of FIVE years for residential building and THREE years for non-residential building from the date of issue of NOC.

  • List of fire fighting appliances that the agency installed.

  • Work Completion letter from Developer / Builder.
  • Letter of installation of fire fighting appliances from fire license agency.

  • Provisional drawing sanctioned from fire department.
  • Fire resistance door installation certificate.
  • Challan of fire pumps (Xerox Copy)
  • Lift inspection certificate.
  • Challan of D.G. sets.
  • Commencement Certificate obtained from Building Permission Section.
  • Photographs of fire fighting appliances. Undertaking on 200 Rs. Stamp Paper that provision of Fire safety is maintained as per approved plan


Fire Service Department of the respective state is the concerned authority who grants the NOC to the builders and in case of Delhi, Delhi Fire Service is the concerned authority.

Although, the fire prevention wig is headed by the Deputy Chief Fire Officer and assisted by a Divisional Officer and Station Officers.



 If all required information submitted is correctly provided then you will get your NOC within 4 weeks from date of receipt of the request.

  • Two sets of Building plans through Building Authority  which Consists of the site plan, building plan, Layout Plan, Analysis Report, Form of Supervision).
  • The building plans must contain all the information as prescribed by the bye-laws.
  • Checklist as filled in a questionnaire.
  • Model of the building.
  • Checklist as Certified by the architect.
  • Building Stability Certificate.
  • One copy of the Aadhar Card of the applicant.
  • Photograph of the Establishment or Building taken from the outside.
  • Quantity and Completion Certificate from a recognized authority (Electric Wiring)
