DGFT Restricted Import License for Aluminium Scrap

Importing aluminium scrap into India requires the importer first to check the aluminium scrap HS code, the DGFT import policy and the approvals that apply to the particular material. Depending on its classification and condition, the shipment may also involve NFMIMS registration, PSIC for aluminium scrap import, environmental authorisation and Customs compliance. A DGFT Restricted Import License for Aluminium Scrap is required only where the applicable import policy treats the goods as Restricted.
