LMPC Regulations Due Date

Per the LMPC regulations, companies that sell, distribute, or import pre-packaged goods must secure a Packaged Commodity Registration within 90 days of starting pre-packaging activities.

According to the Legal Metrology (Packaged Commodities) Amendment Rules, 2017, if LMPC registration applications are not submitted within 90 days of importing or starting pre-packaging operations, a late fee of Rs. A fine of 5000 will be imposed.
